Although this event happened over two years ago, the Malaysian officials have reportedly just fined The Pussycat Dolls’ promoters for exposing Malaysian people to The Pussycat Dolls. The Sun UK says:

But these are even more FINE than usual - though they’ve landed concert promoters with a financial penalty. First off, the lovely Carmit had a tussle with her skimpy vest and thankfully lost. Then gorgeous blonde Ashley gave the audience a flash of more than they bargained for thanks to her teensy shorts. It proved too much for officials in strict Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital city. Pussycat Dolls promoters Absolute Entertainment have been fined 10,000 Ringgits (£1,436) for allowing the act to perform “sexually suggestive” routines.”
During the routine, Carmit Bachar, who has since left the group, exposed a breast while Ashley Roberts was accused of revealing her private parts after her tiny pair of shorts left little to the imagination.
Carmit wore a singlet and a vest over it but her dancing dislodged both garments and exposed her bare breast. Ashley wore very tiny shorts and flashed her crotch during a vigorous movement.The ever-energetic gave more than the Malaysian audience have bargained for. Two of the girls flashed out their private parts for all the audience to see when they performed in the Asian country’s capital, Kuala Lumpur during their world tour in 2006.
Promoters Absolute Entertainment were fined for allowing their act to perform “sexually suggestive” routines in the strict Muslim country.
The penalty was imposed by the council which manages the Kuala Lumpur suburb where the event took place.
The fine followed a complaint from Malaysia’s culture minister Rais Yatim, who said the group’s concert featured “scantily dressed performers” and “sensuous elements”.
He added: “I believe the way the Pussycat Dolls behaved on stage amounted to gross indecency,”
Under the country’s Muslim laws, a female performer must be covered from her shoulders to her knees.
Jumping, shouting or throwing of objects onstage or at the audience are all also banned.
Last year, Gwen Stefani and Beyoncé Knowles were forced to dramatically alter their dance routines and cover up during their concerts in the country.

Pussycat Dolls are an American pop and R&B quintet, and dance and burlesque ensemble founded by choreographer Robin Antin in 1995. It began as a dance troupe based in Los Angeles, was “re-cast” as a music group in 2003, and expanded in 2005 with a parallel troupe at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The group released their first single in 2004, and have gone on to international commercial success.
